‘No evidence’ of UFOs in wide-ranging report : NPR

The Pentagon says it discovered no proof of extraterrestrial spacecraft, in a brand new report reviewing almost eight many years of UFO sightings.

The 63-page, unclassified doc revealed on Friday is probably the most complete report the Pentagon has produced on the subject, and one more occasion wherein it has batted down claims of alien spaceships.

The Pentagon’s All-Area Anomaly Decision Workplace (AARO) issued the report, which covers claims of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) — the army’s time period for UFOs — courting from 1945 by October 2023. The AARO was created in 2022 to determine and resolve reviews of UAPs.

“AARO has discovered no proof that any U.S. authorities investigation, academic-sponsored analysis, or official overview panel has confirmed that any sighting of a UAP represented extraterrestrial know-how,” Pentagon Press Secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said in a statement Friday.

All investigative efforts concluded that almost all sightings had been peculiar objects and the results of misidentification, Ryder stated.

Most of the sightings turned out to be drones, climate balloons, spy planes, satellites, rockets and planets, in response to the report.

The report dismisses among the most explosive claims made in a July congressional listening to, wherein former army officers claimed the federal government is concealing from the general public what it is aware of about UFOs. In a single account, a former Air Power intelligence officer alleged the federal government has lengthy operated a covert program wherein it has reverse-engineered recovered UFO vessels.
