LOS ANGELES (AP) — Republican former baseball star Steve Garvey has secured a U.S. Senate showdown with Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff on a shoestring funds and with a light-weight marketing campaign schedule. However he now faces a frightening query: What’s subsequent? Republicans haven’t elected a Senate candidate in closely Democratic California since 1988. And registered Democrats maintain a 2-to-1 margin over Republicans within the state. Garvey is more likely to have a difficult time elevating cash, with management of the Home and Senate in play. And he will likely be on the poll with the GOP presidential ticket possible headed by former President Donald Trump, who’s deeply unpopular in California exterior his loyal base.
